# Domain selection
|
|
|
|
This section of the configuration file introduces all the parameters used to define the output properties and the working grid (spatial extension, horizontal and vertical description) in which emissions will be calculated.
|
|
|
|
Currently, HERMESv3_GR can calculate emissions on user-specified grids with the following coordinate systems: regular lat-lon, rotated lat-lon, lambert conformal conic and mercator.
|
|
|
|
Other coordinate systems could be added to the model upon request.
|
|
|
|

### Global domain

To generate a global domain the _domain_type_ have to be set to ```global```.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
All global domains generated by HERMESv3_GR have a central grid cell with the centroid (lon=0.0, lat=0.0), following the requirements of the NMMB-MONARCH model. Due to this restriction, all the border cells have a resolution that is half of the others.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
### Rotated domain
|

To generate a rotated domain the _domain_type_ have to be set to ```regional```.
|
|

### Lambert conformal conic domain
