Requirements

This set of outputs relies on online post processing through the common_ocean_post.txt functions from the ocean_diagnostics repository. CDFTOOLS2.1 needs therefore to be called in your archdef.conf file instead of CDFTOOLS3.0. Furthermore, a replicate of /cfu/autosubmit/conf_files needs to be done in your $SCRATCH_DIR/con_files on the platform, at least for the configuration files that correspond to the configuration used in your experiment.

Ocean outputs

If selecting OUTCLASS = diags in ecearth3 or nemo3 experiments, you would obtain the following list of ocean outputs:

  1. 2d SST
  2. 2d SSS
  3. 2d mixed layer depth with turbulence criterium
  4. 2d mixed layer depth with potential density criterium
  5. 2d sea surface height
  6. 2d snow thickness
  7. 2d ice thickness
  8. 2d ice temperature
  9. 2d ice concentration
  10. 3d temperature (so heat content can be computed afterwards afterwards in many different regions)
  11. 2d vertical mean salinity between 0 and 300m
  12. 2d vertical mean salinity between 300m and 5400m
  13. 2d mixed layer heat content
  14. 2d mixed layer salt content
  15. 2d Atlantic meridional overturning circulation
  16. 2d Pacific meridional overturning circulation
  17. 2d Indian meridional overturning circulation
  18. 2d Global meridional overturning circulation
  19. 2d horizontal barotropic streamfunction

Atmospheric outputs

If selecting OUTCLASS = diags in ecearth3 of ifs3 experiments, you would obtain the following list of atmospheric outputs:

  1. 2d mean sea level pressure
  2. 2d 2m temperature
  3. 2d 2m dewpoint temperature
  4. 2d convective precipitation
  5. 2d stratiforme (large-scale) precipitation
  6. 2d evaporation
  7. 2d east/west surface stress
  8. 2d north/south surface stress
  9. 2d surface latent heat flux
  10. 2d surface sensible heat flux
  11. 2d surface solar radiation
  12. 2d surface thermal radiation
  13. 2d top solar radiation
  14. 2d top thermal radiation
  15. 2d high cloud cover
  16. 2d medium cloud cover
  17. 2d low cloud cover
  18. 2d total cloud cover
  19. 2d total column water
  20. 2d total column liquid water
  21. 2d total column ice water
  22. 3d specific humidity - levels : 850Pa, 500hPa, 200hPa
