Traces of detailed information

In this section there are some traces that show in which MPI state threads are. For example: running, waiting, sending, etc. We just analyzed one coupling iteration due to the fact that this kind of trace is very huge and, as a consequence, difficult to handle it. Note that the original trace contains more information, like IPC, useful duration, cycles, etc. The trace is available on /gpfs/projects/bsc32/share/traces/EC-Earth_3.2beta/complete_1cplng_iter_with_nort…

Traces of the largest functions

In this section there are some traces that shows the largest and more important functions of EC-Earth in terms of execution time. First, it is necessary to get the functions with gprof and then, trace these functions using Extrae. Because of the huge size of detailed traces, we used burst mode in order to generate light traces that are easier to analyze. The trace is available on /gpfs/projects/bsc32/share/traces/EC-Earth_3.2beta/burst_largest_user_functions_no_n…

Traces of OASIS functions

In this section there are two traces that show how the most important OASIS functions, such as init, put, get or terminate, are called. As well as in traces of the largest functions, we used burst mode in order to generate light traces. The trace is available on /gpfs/projects/bsc32/share/traces/EC-Earth_3.2beta/burst_oasis_functions_no_northfold_opt_1week_ifs-128_nemo-128 (MareNostrum).
