Please, consider this new version to compute your indices.
Given that most of them could be computed directly by using multiApply, I don't think it has sense to have many small functions. In my opinion, here the most important is documentation.
Now, it is a single function for all indices called BioIndicators. Maybe, it can be changed to something more tailored for agriculture.
We can talk again whenever you want to discuss this version and the next steps.
