Remove log file (I think), fix project URL, and remove dead code

Hi,

I've imported the project into my IDE, and noticed a warning about some dead code (unreachable code), and also that the URL appears to be redirecting to the https://earth.bsc.es/gitlab/es/autosubmit_api URL, so I altered that.

There was an empty log file in the project directory too. I think it should be fine to remove it?
