Extract vertical profiles per individual point source
@ctena , @senciso : As part of CoCO2 project we need to compute emission vertical profiles per individual point sources. Right now HERMES computes this information (per point source and time step) but does not provide it as an output. The idea would be to modify the point_source_sector.py
so that this information is produced. Points to discuss (maybe I am missing something):
- Fields of information we want to have in the output:
- Code facility
- timestep (YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM UTC and local)
- htop (in meters)
- hbot (in meters)
- Ah (in meters)
- Emis pollutant 1 (units?)
- Emis pollutant 2 (units?)
- (...)
- Format of the output (here I would suggest .CSV)
- Do we need to add a new parameter in the HERMES config file (e.g. plume_rise_output) so that user can decide if HERMES produces or not the output?
- Naming of output file: same as output emission file +
_ps_plumerise.csv
Since we still do not have the CoCO2 point source database ready neither the global MONARCH meteorological input data, I propose to start developing the function considering the point source database of the HERMESv3_BU master branch and making use of the MONARH meteorological information available at:
