shapefile2map generic shapefiles
Hi @nperez @cchou , (cc: @llledo If I am not wrong you were also interested in this new feature) I have been using the new functionality Chung introduced to PlotEquiMap. It is a very useful tool but few modifications had to be made to use my shapefile:
On the first place, the first error was the following one:
> PlotEquiMap(var = rpss[,,a],
+ lon = lon,
+ lat = lat,
+ sizetit = 0.5,
+ toptitle = paste0("rpss / sdate = ", fcst.sdate," / lead time = ", as.character(a-1)),
+ filled.continents = F,
+ input_shapefile = input_shapefile,
+ lwd_shapefile = 1,
+ col_shape = "black",
+ fileout = fileout,
+ cols = col.rpss,
+ brks = brk.rpss)
Error in .FilterUserGraphicArgs(excludedArgs, ...) :
could not find function ".FilterUserGraphicArgs"
that is solved by calling Utils.R
source('/esarchive/scratch/cchou/MEDGOLD/others/functions/Utils.R')
Then another error appears, about the layer names from the shapefile we want to plot:
Error in ogrInfo(dsn = dsn, layer = layer, encoding = encoding, use_iconv = use_iconv, :
Cannot open layer
That has been solved by changing
shp1 <- readOGR(dsn = input_shapefile, layer = 'RDD_ETRS89')
by
shp1 <- readOGR(dsn = input_shapefile)
So if we want this function to work with any shapefile, the modifications I made or other to the same end should be carried out.
Chung, could you update your branch with these modifications if you find it convenient?
Thanks
All the best,
Francesc
