As we discussed I have added 'sign' and 'alpha' parameters to RMSSS() and some basic checks for them. I have tried to follow the structure you proposed in #79 (closed), but I have not added the confidence interval yet.
Feel free to change whatever you see fit. I am not 100% clear on whether you plan on having both 'alpha' and 'sign' parameters (I assume yes?), or only 'alpha' like many functions now. I think it's clearer to keep both but that's my personal opinion.
