    from the 2020 ocean-only spinup dev. res. DVC branch, I extracted the namelist_cfg, changed the initial date to 19500101 and used f90nml in python (https://f90nml.readthedocs.io/en/latest/usage.html) to generate namelist without comments in a correct format for the workflow.
