switch/nrt remove instance count support using parenthesis after protocol type

If multiple network instances are required, then use the instance=#
option rather than parenthesis after the protocol name. This is far
simpler especially if someone specifies different prococols with
difference instance counts or specifies an instance count in both
places (after protocol name plus using instance=#).
