Log error on run
Hello @dbeltran and @bdepaula,
Autosubmit Version
3.15.11
Expid affected(If applicable)
t0dv
Summary
I'm running an experiment of autosubmit-4, but by mistake I loaded the 3.15.11 version. After launching the run command I get this error:
[eferre1@bsceshub02 eferre1]$ autosubmit run t0dv
[CRITICAL] IO issues during the parsing of configuration files [eCode=6014]
More info at https://autosubmit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/faq.html
The issue at hand has 2 parts. One is that the link showed there reports to me as broken, since the ones that exist have the troubleshooting
in the path:
https://autosubmit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/troubleshooting/index.html
or https://autosubmit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/troubleshooting/error-codes.html
The second one, is that once going to the proper error codes and solutions wiki page, checking the 6014 error it says Git can not clone repository submodule
, which is not the real error at hand.
In other cases when having the wrong 3.X version loaded with regards of the experiment the error message says something about the version not matching and to update it with -v
if wanted, but not here. I guess that since the files in the folder are .yml
format, AS-3 cannot even reach the point were the version is read, but the error is still misleading. I figured the issue after finally focusing on the first part where it says the IO issues during parsing of config files
, but noticed the issues mentioned here on the log.
Steps to reproduce
I guess that having any experiment created with the 4 version and trying to run it with the 3 (and maybe the inverse also happens).
What is the current bug behavior?
Error showed is not corresponding to the real error.
What is the expected correct behavior?
Print a message complaining that you are running with the wrong version of autosubmit, also, update the link pointing to the readthedocs, or maybe not changing that link of the message, but creating a page that redirects to the proper path, since it can happen in future updates of the readthedocs and I guess that it might be easier to update this broken link in the docs than in the autosubmit code.
