Provide other ways to control experiment IDs created
From Slack discussion with @mcastril , @dbeltran , @ltenorio today.
We are discussing for DestinE the possibility to have better control on experiment IDs created, especially if we have separated VMs, or environments.
For example, if we need to have operational expids (o001
) in one VM, and research/dev (a001
, t001
, etc.) in another VM.
Here are some comments from @dbeltran , saving it for later as they look useful (and slack keeps them for 90 days?):
- unattach the autosubmit expid -o from autosubmit expid
- autosubmit expidoper that would call the same expid function but with -o flag automatically added
- Ban the autosubmit expid command in operational machine using the autosubmitrc
- Ban the autosubmit expidoper in the production machine using the autosubmitrc
