Short Bio: Amanda Duarte leads the Artificial Intelligence Team (AIT) in the Computational Earth Sciences (CES) group at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and has over ten years of experience working with machine learning. Her research applies artificial intelligence to Earth sciences, focusing on climate and weather. Before joining BSC, she worked on projects involving sign language processing, multimodal understanding, speech-conditioned image generation, and underwater robotics. Currently, she contributes to several national and European projects, including Destination Earth, TerraDT, CONCERTO, and EXPECT. Beyond research, she enjoys travel, photography, and art.

Short Bio: Alberto has a degree in Physics from the University of Valencia. He also holds a PhD in Atmopsheric Science from the University of Leeds, where he investigated the role of aerosol particles in ice formation in clouds, from both an experimental and modelling perspective. He has worked as a data scientist in different projects related to health security and extreme weather events. Currently he is working with climate emulators in the Artificial Intelligence Team. Beyond research, he enjoys doing exercise, cooking, music and history.

Short Bio: Alicia holds a degree in Mathematics from UAB and a master's degree in Data Science from UPC. She specializes in large language models and is passionate about applying AI to advance scientific research. She is part of the AI team, where her work focuses on fine-tuning and evaluating LLMs in the field of climate change

Short Bio:. Pasha (he/him) holds a Ph.D. in Computational Geosciences from RWTH Aachen University. Prior to joining the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC). At BSC, he explores AI approaches to advance the understanding of the terrestrial carbon and water cycles.

*Short Bio:*Andrés González joined the Computational Earth Sciences Group of the Earth Sciences Department at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) as a Research ML Engineer. He holds an Erasmus M.Sc. in Natural Language Processing and Language Technology from University of Malta and University of Lorraine from which he graduated in Fall of 2023. Prior to joining the BSC, Andrés worked at Orange Innovation Labs as an R&D NLP Engineer where he focused on tasked-oriented dialogue systems. Besides his interests in NLP and AI, he loves working out, traveling, reading, dancing and music.

Short Bio: Marina (she/her) has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Salamanca and a master's degree in Data Science from New York University, obtained under a Fulbright scholarship. She has done research on applying natural language processing models for legal and political documents. Now, she is part of the AI Team, working on improving the representation of land surface parameters for weather and climate models.

Short Bio: Mayssa Kchaou joined the Computational Earth Sciences Group of the Earth Sciences Department at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) as a Junior Research ML Engineer. She holds a Software Engineering Degree from the University of Arts and Multimedia, Tunisia. Before starting at BSC and during her education, she worked as an Undergraduate Natural Language Processing Engineer and published research scientific papers.
