• The first AI4ES brainstorming session was held in January 2020. The slides can be found here. Some of the possible actions that were discussed during the meeting:
  • Meeting with Operations to talk about the needs for computing and AI [DONE]
  • Meeting with Life sciences to explore collaborations and common needs [SCHEDULED]
  • Journal club, with biweekly meetings [SCHEDULED]
  • Shared library (from my own Zotero one), papers about AI and AI4ES [DONE]
  • Training about AI/ML for the BSC-ES department [BEING PREPARED]
  • Coordinate work with current CES members. Possible hiring in 2021
  • Continue the conversation with group leaders about potential projects [CONTINUOUS]

The AI4ES Journal Club will be scheduled on Tuesdays at 12:30 on the weeks when there is not a BSC-ES internal seminar. So in principle we will try to organize biweekly sessions.

The first session of the AI4ES Journal Club will take place the 3rd of March 2020 at the “aula formación”. Find below a detailed list of the sessions and the references discussed.
